Steel Erection
Preliminary Checks
Before installation, all necessary records and reports should be thoroughly reviewed, including quality certificates, material test reports, and non-destructive inspection reports. Any issues should be addressed immediately to ensure conformity with design requirements.
Installation proces
A detailed flow chart should be prepared and followed during the installation process. Anchor bolts’ precision should be checked, and any deviations from the design drawing should be corrected promptly.
Component Assembly
Components should be mounted in a precise sequence to form a rigid body as quickly as possible. Checking calculations should be undertaken, and lateral stiffness measures taken for small components to avoid damage and distortion.

Engineering
KOBAX specializes in Engineering and Design of structures, offering projects that are engineered in compliance with the latest design standards and contemporary software technology. Our projects provide clients with effective optimal design and applicability, ensuring construction and detail compliance for faster production and erection of structures, ultimately leading to more economical construction.
We work with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and modern software, which allows for an interface with designers to model the structure before manufacture and identify potential design and installation challenges. Advanced 3D software is used on all our projects to generate complete digital representations of the steel structure. Utilizing BIM ensures a more collaborative and better controlled exchange of engineering data with our clients, leading to improved quality, better efficiency, and reduced risk.
Project Management
Project management is about maintaining control from ideation to realisation, overseeing every aspect of a project including technical, logistical, and financial components.
At KOBAX, our project management services include the provision of comprehensive Method Statements for each stage of the project, including but not limited to production, painting, transport, installation, and erection of steel structures, as well as pre-assembly, unloading, and various safety measures such as access towers, steel decking, and edge protection.
